Very interesting post - I will definitely try to implement some of the stuff you mentioned.

As for GTD apps, I disliked both iGTD and OmniFocus. Both require way too much attention to the program itself rather than allowing me to focus on my work. (All these OF filter settings make me go insane!)

I haven't given up hope for a good GTD app though. I recently stumbled upon &lt;a href="http://culturedcode.com/things/" rel="nofollow"&gt;Things&lt;/a&gt; from Cultured Code - these guys are really on to something...</description>
